PEGS stands for Pre Entry Guidance Service - a service offered by Aimhigher Greater Manchester in collaboration with Bolton University and Manchester Metropolitan University.PEGS is a free advice service offered to people aged 20 and over, living in Greater Manchester, who do not have an existing Higher Education Qualification.
You'll be able to discuss a wide range of issues relating to study in Higher Education and be helped to make the right choice for you.
Prior to embarking on a course in Higher Education you may have many questions to ask. These could include :
What subject should I study?
What are my career choices beyond my degree in my chosen area of study?
As a mature student what are my job choices?
Do I need to do additional study prior to university?
What support is available to me once I am at university?
How can I develop relevant work experience whilst at university?
These and more questions can be answered by friendly, helpful PEGS advisers at a careers interview, either face to face or via the telephone. PEGS is a free advice and guidance service for adults living in Greater Manchester who are thinking of applying to university or college.
The service offered is free, confidential and impartial. The staff can advise you about all universities in the UK and all kinds of learning opportunities.
