What will student life be like?

These days there is no such thing as a typical student. Students come from all walks of life and from all over the United Kingdom and overseas as well.

Universities are fun communities with full and varied social activities. People live together and study together and have fun together in a safe environment.

There are all kinds of activities from sports to debating societies, from computer clubs to hang-gliding ! There are lots of opportunities to get involved in university life if you choose to, whether you study full-time or part-time .

Find out about the facilities that universities can offer you. Most universities and colleges offer visit days, taster days and open days or summer schools where you can look around and be given a taste of what student life is like.

If you wish to know more about summer schools available at universities in North-West England, click here or go to the "Get help with" section  in the list on the left and then click on the "summer school"  link.
